Today, technological devices and computer software, which are making progress in a rapid development and change process, provide great conveniences in almost every area of our lives. This development process has enabled significant advancements in music education, just as in every field of the music industry. Music technologies have gained significant importance not only in music but also in many areas such as film, documentary, dubbing, sound restoration, and sound recording archiving. In this context, "Music Technology" departments, which aim to train individuals equipped with qualified and technical knowledge for the developing world, have gained great importance within the universal order. From this point of view, the "Music Technology" department, which is planned to be opened within the Turkish Music State Conservatory of Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, aims to ensure that students closely follow international developments in the field of Music Technologies such as sound recording, storage, and sound synthesis simultaneously with the rapidly changing world, to train students who will support the infrastructure of Turkish music with technological equipment, ensuring the globalization and future preservation of our music, to provide them with the ability to synthesize their knowledge with traditional culture, and to train individuals who have a perspective that can offer solutions to technological developments and possible problems.
