The "Music Department" established within the body of the Turkish Music State Conservatory has been structured with the aim of operating under a single department name, encompassing all music within our country's music tradition as a whole without making a fundamental distinction. In this context, the Music Department is an important formation from the perspective of an educational view that possesses national values, preserves and develops our traditional music, while also incorporating the fundamental scientific requirements of Western music, is open to international cooperation, can carry our traditional music to its deserved place on the global stage, and always supports creative and innovative thinking. Additionally, the department's goal is to train virtuoso artists, educators, practitioners, producers, and interpreters who are equipped with Turkish Music and general music education, preserve their national culture, and contribute to the socio-cultural development of Turkish society. It aims to train individuals who, within the framework of the aesthetic understanding of Turkish Music, can form traditional style, manner, traditional performance, and improvisation understanding, as well as adopt and apply new music trends that are increasingly widespread in our era.
Tuition Fee: No Student Contribution Fee is paid within the normal program duration.

Location of the Unit to Which the Program is Affiliated: Our department is located in the MAKÜ İstiklal Campus, in the Turkish Music State Conservatory building.
Location Where Education and Training Are Conducted: Our education and training activities are conducted in our classrooms located in the Turkish Music State Conservatory building, MAKÜ İstiklal Campus.
Program Accreditation: Our program does not yet have any accreditation agreement.
Dormitory: There are dormitories for female and male students affiliated with the Higher Education Credit and Dormitories Institution located within the İstiklal Campus of our university and in the city center. Additionally, accommodation services can be obtained from private student hostels and apartment flats in the city center of Burdur.
